21st Birthdays

The year is almost over and 2011 is just right around the corner. Many good and bad things have happened in the past year and with the new year coming, I'm hoping it will be much better than 2010. But as 2011 creeps closer and closer, I acually don't want it to come just yet.

This is because I will be turning 21, being legal to purchase and drink alcohol. As my time is coming up, so many of my friends are estatic about this one in a life time event. I mean, I was insterested in joining my friends 21st birthdays but not mine. Seeing that they were all hung over and puking the next day made me realize, that's not what I want.

But this is a once in a life time deal. You don't turn 21 more than once you know. Unless you celebrate your birthday repeatedly throughout the week til it hits your actual birthday. It's also great to see your family and friends celebrate this with you.

I actually don't know what to do at all for my own 21st birthday. The only downfall of a 21st birthday is the drinking and side effects following the next day. Though, you will only live once so, what the heck right?

If I Had Super Powers

What would the world be like if we all had super powers? Would the world be a better place or would mankind use their powers for the better good? If I had super powers, I would want the strength of superman. Superman is probably the strongest super hero there is. Though he has only one weakness, which is why I wouldn’t want his full strength.
As goes for an additional power, I like to have spider sense. His sense could possibly be the most quickest and best to defeat close combat villains. With his quick sense and brute strength of superman, I could possibly be one of the strongest super heroes ever.
For my last power, I think having body regeneration like wolverine would be something worth having. In that way, if I ever get hurt in battles with bad guys. I wouldn’t have to worry about the long wait until I heal. And also having his sense of smell would be great.
Overall, these are only some of what I would love to have as super powers. Though, having too much power wouldn’t work out just because there will be those who hate you. They will retaliate because you try to make the world a better place. With great power you have great responsibilities.

Black Friday

What is so special about black friday? Isn't it just any ordinary friday? Well to those who go and camp out on black Friday there must be some really good deals for them to camp outside the store and wait for hours in the cold. But dealing with the crowd could be pretty difficult because everyone is agitated in the cold and also sleepless.
In my past two years I have experienced going to black Friday and camping outside the store. It’s pretty crazy when I thought back on what I’ve did. It was so cold, and that we didn’t get to sleep at all from stuffing my face with turkey all day. People are even more dedicated then we are that they camp outside the door like a day ahead.
I’ve also heard stories where people even get into fights because there are only so limited items sold in that store. Also, when they finally open then doors, everyone wants to push and rush in. But once you enter, there’s also lines so the back of the store to what you want to get.
It’s pretty crazy when you go on your first Black Friday. But be warned when you go, do dress appropriately. Bring lots of blankets also. It’s a great experience but I won’t be doing that ever unless its well worth it.

Body world

Just this weekend I had the opportunity to go and experience a Body Exhibit in Madison. A body Exhibit is a place where you go and examine the structural of the body and how the body functions. This was a great experience for me because my major is to go into  nursing and the details that the exhibit gave out was more than what I had asked for.

When arriving to  Madison, I personally didn't want to go to the exhibit. This was because if I had seen the parts that made up of the human, my body would of felt very queezy. Though I did not think of that, I examinined almost every feature that they had.

It was a great experience and al it was a great way to interact with the people who work for and create this project. The people who made this opportunity possible made it the best way to learn new things about human anatomy and physiology.

Anyone who wants to go into the medical field or are interested in human anatomy. You should go and pay a visit to the body exhibit. There is just too much to learn in such a short period of time. Although you will get what your monies worth. I would recomend all people to attend and support your local scientist so that they can improve and go forward in human anatomy

YouTube

Here in America the internet source is a very powerful tool. As I say this, more and more people who have a normal life become a famous known person through the internet. Singing, sports, and much more people are making a name for themselves through the recognition of their fan base or viewers.
As I watched clips from WongFu Productions, which is a group of three Asian guys who are into making short videos and editing them. From the very beginning they had nothing but were just going to school and making videos. Now, they have an office with productions of t-shirts that they sell online. They also work for other sensational internet stars like David Choi who is a singer and NigaHiga who creates his own videos.
WongFu Production had also produced a video for Far East Movement which is a new cast of hip hop stars in the making. The internet is a very powerful tool to express yourself and I think these guys did a very well job. Even though these guys are Asian, they do collaborations with other ethnicities.
It’s great to see people start from the bottom up. You get to see a variety of struggles and success that the person had to endure to become success. WongFu Productions is a great example and great role model for the young generations especially Asians. You don’t see many famous Asians here in America but more are on the rise as I see it.

Facebook the social network movie

The new fad online is now considered Facebook. Everyone uses Facebook nowadays to keep in contact with friends and families. Facebook is considered the largest social network on the internet today streaming over half a billion people world wide. The net worth of Facebook is to be worth over 25 billion dollars.
Over this past weekend I had logged onto my Facebook to check up on updates. Checking my updates I was tagged to a video saying that I should watch this movie. The movie was called Facebook The Social Network. It was a movie about how Facebook was invented and how it became a billion dollar network.
The movie takes you to parts of the scene where Mark Zackerberg had went to school, launched a website, and in the court room. The reason why I liked this movie was that during the main storyline, he was in court telling his story.  Jesse Eisenberg, played as the founder of Facebook, Mark Zackerberg and he did an awesome job.
For once I had time to sit down and watch a movie and somewhat liked the storyline just because this was based on a true story. It just makes me think that if they can make it big, then I should be able to do so too.

MW Black Ops

The word is that modern warfare is coming out with a new game called “Black Ops” on November 9th of this year. The gaming is very similar to the other previous games that they created, but the people of Infinity ward ( the people who created the game) had left. So the new people behind Black Ops are now Treyarch. I’ve seen some clips from the trailer they put out to represent as their ad and I would say it’s pretty awesome but it’s just not the same.
The style of play seems similar and the weapons used are fake or make believe.  I don’t understand why the people of modern warfare chose to go this route. They are taking a risk of their own company. Another thing that I saw that I didn’t like was the game play where you bid money in a game and the winner gets the whole pot. If I were to pay to play then I would just never even think about buying the game.
What I liked the most from this game was the way you could change a character’s clothing. It’s a pretty creative feature to this game but you need to earn cash to buy these features. Another cool thing that I thought was interesting was that they changed the kill streaks rewards. The remote car with bomb seems pretty awesome!
If Black Ops doesn’t live up to its previous games, I wouldn’t be surprise if Treyarch gets fired. But the only way to find out is to play the game. Best way is to rent it, play it, and if you like it buy it. I’m pretty stoked about this new game. And I’m hoping it doesn’t disappoint me.

King James

You may know him by LB, The King, King James, or better yet LeBron James. Back in 09’ when LeBron James was still with the Cleveland Cavs, one of his biggest decisions was to decide to stick with the Cavs or sign with the Miami Heat. This was one of the biggest controversies on sports nation until he made his decision and signed with the Miami Heats.
With this decision I couldn’t point out why he decided to go this route. I wasn’t sure if LeBron had left Cleveland, would his fans jeopardize his income? But this was not a factor for LeBron. He actually made more money after he had signed with the Miami Heats.
Although you see LeBron James former fans burning up his Ex Caviler Jersey live on the news. This only made King James the talk of America. But with all the fame and money put into this game of basketball. I believe that LeBron James only did this to better his chances of getting a championship ring.
Like come on, they are ranked top in their section with two other NBA all-stars that include Dewayne Wade and Chris Bosh. With them three working together, they stack up stats beyond other teams. But they can only achieve this through teamwork. They can’t be selfish and only want to be the star player of the team. As preseason is over, I predict that Miami Heat will play against the Lakers for the final.

Naruto

Animation has been by far one of the greatest things that happend on television. It's the imaginations of our child hood from super heros to basically whatever you can think of. But what makes Naruto so intriging out of the other millions of animes? Why do I see kids to adults watching, collecting, and mimicing a made believe character?

I've been following up with this show ever since it came out. Right after the Dragon Ball series Naruto came out and I started to watch it not knowing how addicting this new anime was going to be. To those who don't know what Naruto is. Naruto is a boy who was born into a ninja world who trains very hard to become hokage (village leader) one day but there are bad guys who stand in his way that wants his secret powers.

For the past four years now. I kept up to date watching the show and reading the manga ahead. It's crazy because every week on Thursday nights. Those nights are when the new episodes come out including the mangas. No matter how busy I am or what I'm doing, I must have my Naruto or I'm just not satisfied.

I myself don't see that I'm crazy addicted like the other people I see. I've seen people dress, talk, and even act like Naruto, "Believe It!". Well, It's always good to have my thoughts on something else and keep my imaginations going. Without it, I wouldn't be like myself today.

Facebook

Facebook is a world wide online website that people use to interact with family and friends. It’s a commonly used online source for people ages ranging from as young as kids in middle school to old adults.  But how is it so addicting? Making it one of the most powerful online sites on the internet and having billions of people all over the world connecting onto one online source.
There was an episode that I had watched a while back on South Park, where they had the characters using Facebook. It was so hilarious and true about how certain people act towards using facebook. The part that made me think how realistic the show was towards real life was when cartman hesitated on adding and accepting friends.
The issue of Facebook becoming a world wide consumer is incredible. You can see it almost everywhere you go. But what makes Facebook so addicting? As I see it from the people I know who uses Facebook constantly updates their status. But what reason do you have to constantly post a new status every five minutes. It’s so insane how dumb and time wasting FaceBook is.
I myself use facebook but find it boring most of the time. It’s a great way to keep in touch with your friends and family but is a very wasteful time consumer. I’ve seen my girlfriend go at it one time when she played on the application Farmville. She sat on her bed for hours just waiting for her crops and cows to recharge and grow so that she could water and plant new crops. It’s absurd! People need to find better things to do with their time and life. Overall I give mad props to the dude who invented Facebook. It was probably the most profitable invention in my whole entire life.

Cartoons

Just the other day I was watching some cartoons with my nephew. I was devastated to see that these new cartoons were just awful. There were no action, fighting, argument, and that effectiveness to lure us to want to see the next episodes. To come and think about it, the only cartoons that keep me interested are the late night shows on cartoon network.
These shows like Futurama and Family guy are just classic examples of what funny and entertainment is. It’s a bit more for the mature older watchers but who cares they are great shows to watch. Going back to the basics like teenage ninja turtles and x men were some of the best cartoons. There were so much action pack scenes that draws the watchers attention and keeping them wanting to watch onto the next episodes.
I believe that the newer cartoons like Dora the explorer to like Disney channels have lost their touch to good television. It’s more about education and problem solving now. There’s no more fighting and action anymore. Cartoon has just become bland.
Overall cartoon now would never be the same as for tv in the past. There’s just too much restrictions and ratings on television. But if its better for the younger kids for their future. I guess it wouldn’t hurt for them to watch these boring shows.
